The Alchemists Kitchen
Zachary Clancy is a resident herbalist and the CBD ambassador for The Alchemist’s kitchen, where he hosts monthly CBD clinics. Most broadly, he is a Brooklyn-based horticulturist, herbalist, and educator and has spent the last 5 years working on sustainability initiatives in NYC, building and managing urban farms in all five boroughs, and designing and administering horticultural education programs in collaboration with CUNY, HELPUSA, NYCHA, and DOE, and RecultivateNY.
With degrees in Psychology and Biology, Zachary’s overall approach to herbalism is firmly grounded in the science of plant based medicines. In addition to this, he has been heavily influenced by herbal apprenticeships under renowned Great Plains herbalist Ocoee Miller and Appalachian herbalist Joe Hollis who both emphasized the importance of working directly with plants in order to grow one’s own medicine.
