The Be Well Recipe: Strawberry Milkshake Smoothie

Working at Be Well, we are constantly experimenting with the our Protein Powders and Superfood Powders to make delicious and nutritious smoothie recipes. This way, we can keep our bodies happy and healthy while we work and we can share personally tested recipes with patients!

One of our more recent favorites is the new Reds powder. With a wonderful strawberry flavor and a pretty pink color, it has quickly become a big hit at the office and with patients, too. Packed with antioxidants and phytonutrients, Reds can be mixed with unsweetened nut milk for a light, nutrient-dense snack, or blended with healthy fats and proteins for a more filling breakfast (or lunch, or dinner!).

So what makes Reds so great besides its delicious flavor? This superfood powder offers all the benefits of eating delicious red and purple fruits without all the sugar. Just one scoop equals the antioxidant capacity of four servings of fruit, minus the fructose, glucose and carbohydrates that fruit has naturally.

If you are someone who loves the idea of getting more fruit-based antioxidants in your diet but are trying to avoid added sugars, I encourage you to try our Strawberry Milkshake recipe. It has been tested time and time again, and it is safe to say that everyone at the Wellness Center not only approves but still loves it!

Strawberry Milkshake Smoothie
  • 1 cup full-fat coconut milk
  • 1 Tbsp Reds
  • 1 scoop Vanilla Whey Protein
  • 1 Tbsp nut butter (unsweetened)
  • 1 Tbsp coconut oil
  • 1 Tbsp chia seeds
  • Water and ice (as needed)
  1. Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.
  2. Along with the abundance of fruit-based vitamins and nutrients you receive in just one glass of this Strawberry Milkshake, the other ingredients were chosen specifically to further increase its nutritional value.
  3. Coconut milk and coconut oil provide healthy fats to keep you feeling satiated and also contain brain-boosting and immune-boosting properties. Chia seeds contribute added fiber and a good dose of omega-3 fatty acids, which support brain function and fight inflammation throughout the body.
  4. Now you can enjoy a delicious strawberry milkshake and not feel guilty about it!
