Meditation is one of the most beneficial practices one can engage in, and just about everyone knows they should make time for it. Meditation has a wonderfully calming effect on the body and mind, and encourages a less stressed, more peaceful and aware state of being. Unfortunately though, most people get swept up in life’s frantic pace, more urgent matters come up and thoughts of meditation go out the window. But making time for meditation is a real loss for your health. This regeneration happens at different rates throughout the body and can actually be affected (both positively or negatively) by the food that we eat. It’s super important to prevent aging from the inside even before you think about the outside options of beauty products galore.
Most of us were raised to believe that the genes we were born with are our destiny, and that the diseases that “run in the family” are most likely coming for us too. I myself have wrestled with this demon, as I have a strong family history of heart disease and I, now in my 60s, have many of the markers indicating that I should have heart disease as well.
