Turmeric, the ancient spice from Southern Asia that gives curries their rich golden color, seems to suddenly be the rage.  And it’s not surprising since it is loaded with so many benefits. In particular, it helps fight inflammation naturally–and has antiseptic, anti-fungal, anti-viral , anti-bacterial and anti-tumor properties. Plus it’s great for  brain and heart health. Try it in this smoothie recipe!

Turmeric Anti-Inflammatory Smoothie Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 packet Sustain or  1 scoop Be Well Vanilla Whey Protein Powder
  • 1 cup Coconut Milk
  • ½ fresh mango diced or ½ cup frozen mango chunks
  • Juice of ½ lime
  • ½ tsp turmeric powder
  • ¼ tsp ginger
  • ¼ avocado
  • 1 TBS coconut oil
  • 4 ice cubes

Directions:

Add all ingredients into blender and blend till smooth and creamy.
